Aspects Of Love
“I've loved… I've lost… yet I yearn to love again Lord please grant me the strength and show me where to begin.”
This short poem/prayer perfectly illustrates how Aspects of Love came to be. “This book uses poetry to tell the story of my journey through the many different Aspects of Love,” says author Cozean. “Desiring love, seeking love, finding love, and losing love; all to realize that love for self should have been my ultimate goal.”
“Everyone can look back to one point in their past that truly defined their growth and understanding of who they are and what it really takes to make them happy,” adds Cozean. “It was at that point that they became complete and ready to accept true love.” This book is Cozean's poetic expression of that moment from his past.
In four emotional sections: The Relationship; Friends, Lovers & Soul Mates; Lost Love; and The Ultimate Form of Expression, Cozean exposes his soul regarding wants, needs desires, women, relationships, love and loss.
“Regardless of your race, sex or religion, if you have ever loved, been loved, or wished for love, you will appreciate this collection of poetry.”

About The Author
Cozean was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. While attending Indiana University a friend introduced him to poetry. Poetry quickly became his passion as he used it as a vehicle to release years of bottled up emotions. After graduation he moved to Atlanta, Georgia. It was at that point that he was introduced to spoken word and had his first poem published. “My Lord, My Confidence,” was published as part of a collection of poetry put together by V103's Joyce Littel in her book, V103's Poetic Moments. After Joyce's book was published, Cozean began putting together his first collection of poetry.
Cozean began creative writing very young, however, he did not begin writing poetry until his 28th birthday. As many of us do, he began soul-searching concerning where he was in life and what he had and had not accomplished. Cozean's first poem started as an open letter to himself. While reflecting on past failed relationships, he realized he had no true concept of what he wanted or needed out of a woman. That poem was the start of a journey of self-exploration, which helped him to understand that he was not completely satisfied with the person he was or the direction his life was heading. He used the poem as a way of focusing his thoughts, which allowed him to understand what was truly important in love and life.
Although Cozean has a Bachelor of Science in Business and is currently working as a project manager, his first love has always been creative writing. Aspects of Love is Cozean's first book.
