Humanity's Cup: Tales From the Inner Circle
Kecia is a first generation college student who truly "learned by doing" from her alma mater, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Kecia's initial goal was to work within her community to ensure mental and spiritual wellness of people of color in general and young women in particular.
During her time at Cal Poly, she realized that her passion and calling was working with assisting students in transitioning into the university environment.
The first book of poetry & prose by L.A. Native Kecia Brown is an inspiring,
thought provoking and unsettling view of urban life in the "City of the Stars."
It explores issues of gender, race and politics along with love of Hip Hop,
family and community.
Titles from her upcoming book:
- Revolution at Rest
- The Murder of a Young, Black Man
- Defending My Profanity, err….Humanity
- The Foundation
- What Did I Do to Deserve You Tonight?
Please join Poetry Today Online in congratulating Kecia Brown on all of her impressive accomplishments!
